College seeks a qualified person for the position of Assistant Director of Facilities.
The position e nsures optimal functioning of building
systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety; supervises
department employees in the maintenance of buildings and grounds; oversees
contractors for facility renovation projects; provides oversight, program
development, and implementation of campus Environmental Health and Safety
plans, organizes and schedules of
various craft workers, such as HVAC (heating, ventilation and air
conditioning), maintenance technicians, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and
out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the College’s policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing
work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing
complaints and resolving problems.
with inspecting the work performance of the facility department employees and

remodeling, grounds improvements and maintenance projects.

Education & Experience
degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field strongly
of five years of physical plant management experience required. Previous
construction project management preferred.
of 5 years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
of OSHA regulations and other safety related regulations. Direct experience
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations include; CFM, CEFP, CMM.
Skills & Abilities
proficient Microsoft Office computer skills and ability to adapt to other
programs required such as Contact Management, Work Order Management systems,
to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished
in written, verbal, drawing or diagram formats
to effectively communicate information and respond to questions, both in
writing and in person-to-person and small group situations with customers,
clients, general public and other employees of the College required
