Filmtec Fabrications (Fort Wayne Metals is the parent company) needs an Engineering Intern in Fostoria, OH to work on a variety of Engineering projects. This is a spring internship; the selected student should expect to work 10-20 hours a week during the spring semester. School is the priority, so we will work with you to decide on a work schedule that is mutually beneficial.
General Engineering Support (to enable more rapid machine development):
Create CAD part and assembly models
Create and detail drawings
Print drawing packages for production
Update CAD to reflect as-built condition
Work with Machinists, Welders & Assembly Techs to understand design constraints and resolve issues.
Provide assembly support, as needed.
2nd or 3rd year Engineering major (Mechanical Engineering focused preferred)
Students interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing/design engineering
2D/3D drawing and modeling experience
Computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
Strong attention to details and accuracy
Analytical ability for troubleshooting and providing creative solutions
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people
Strong project management skills
Ability to self-motivate
Ability to take instructions and execute with minimal supervision
Focus in meeting deadlines and executing tasks
