Description of Duties/Essential Functions
Under administrative direction of the Technology Management Manager, performs highly technical and analytical functions for department information systems; provides leadership for the development and maintenance of applications built and supported by the Division. Develops and maintains complex data processing assignments; directly interacts with analysts and users to provide assistance, training and mentoring. Serves as project leader providing advice and guidance to lower level staff requiring advanced technical research, analysis, design, programming and debugging. Travels in the performance of duties.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields, supplemented by three years of professional experience in a related Information Technology field. Requires the ability to travel.
Of the three years of professional experience, requires three years of experience working with industry development standards, Object Oriented frameworks, security infrastructure, cross platform troubleshooting techniques, setting-up and administering software, operating systems and tools such as Linux, Rational Team Concert, WebSphere and IBM Security Access Manager ( or equivalent security system).

Anticipated Started Salary Range – $70,584 - $108,072
