Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) - Kent, OH

Job Objectives:
The Development Officer is responsible for building the PCRF’s funding sources as operations continue to grow. The officer will work directly with the CEO and the board of directors to maintain current fundraising levels and identify new sources of funding from individuals, corporations, governments, and foundations all over the world.

Detailed Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute PCRF's annual fundraising plan in conjunction with the CEO and Board of Directors;
  • Create and submit funding proposals for projects;
  • Engage in market research in order to identify new opportunities for fundraising.
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations;
  • Work with notable staff responsible for data entry and gift processing;
  • Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors;
  • Creating and executing a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors;
  • Supporting special events in coordination with Chapter Coordinator;
  • Applying for charitable Grants from major corporations, governments and foundations;
  • Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising;
  • Working with CEO on outreach strategy and PR campaigns to increase visibility and access to previously untapped funding resources;
  • Developing systems to encourage gifting PCRF in estates, weddings and birthdays
  • Prepare annual fundraising budget and track expenses relating to the budget;
  • Participate in forums related to fundraising and development; conferences and donors discussions;
  • Supervise CRM Neon donor database to manage and retain donors and the mailing lists.
  • Oversee the direct mailing campaigns;
  • Seeking funding opportunities for PCRF endowment;
  • Locate and engage high-net individual donors in USA and Globally;

Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum Skill Requirements

  • BA required MA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Fluency in using Google Docs
  • Fluency in using social media
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
