This posting is for a part-time, temporary, position.
Salary - $30/hour
Schedule – a rotating two-week schedule including two 9-hours days (Monday-Thursday – exact days TBD) with a 30-minute lunch break each week and one 4-hour day every other Friday ending at 12:30 p.m. prior to lunch. Approximately 18 to 22 hours per week.

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Math or Education. Master's degree in Math or Education, or alternate certification from the state preferred. Three years teaching experience in Mathematics (Arithmetic and Algebra I) required.
Examples of Work
Duties to include, but not limited to:
Tutor and guide students in Math 098.
Be familiar and comfortable with the Math 098 curriculum and lessons of instruction.
Be familiar with the Developmental Math Lab policies and procedures, tutor guidelines, resources, and other materials.
Provide students with academic reinforcement through tutoring.
Enforce Developmental Math Lab rules; for example, food and drink, cell phone usage, noise level.
Check inventory of supplies and as order as needed.
Assist coordinator with maintaining Developmental Math Lab statistics.
Maintain inventory report of Developmental Math Lab equipment.
Refer tutors to Developmental Math Lab Coordinator /Assistant Dean/Dean when issues need to be addressed.
Maintain a clean workplace with cleaning emphasis in-between semesters.
Participate in in-service meeting and tutor-training seminars.
Follow proper closing procedures in the Developmental Math Lab.
Address areas of student concern in Math 098 curriculum.
Follow all check-in procedures using check-in software and equipment.
Ensure that students are signed in appropriately.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).
