Sr Welding Engineer
Your main accountabilities will be to:
Analyze tubes welding results, cardan shafts RDM assembly and 3-piece shafts
Interpret the welding results.
Execute the corresponding destructive tests of cut and macroattack; of tear or chisel test; As well as the torsional test of shafts and tubes.
Elaborate individual and statistical report of welding as shafts tubes, final assembly.
Analyze torsional test results on axles.
Maintain and control the parameters of welding processes.
Elaborate and design the programs of welding in the different processes.
Apply the welding regulations. Complying with AWS D8.8-97 Stipulated in design.
Communicate and involve technical personnel in current processes and new welding projects.
Share the work instructions, formats and welding parameters control methodology.
Perform the update, analysis and control of welding reports on the network.
Involve the technical staff of the department in meetings, information boards and working sessions with the different departments as required (Manufacturing, Quality, Reality, Metallurgy).
Conduct sessions with natural work teams of each process as required.
Analyze the welding processes of the supplier as required.
Maintain the application of welding quality standards.
Correctly apply the engineering characteristics of the product.
Apply evaluation methods in destructive and non-destructive tests.
Standardize and develop the welding processes GMAW, RW, FW, LW.
Efficiency of welding consumables.
Make suggestions on machine maintenance, tooling, etc.
Efficiency in inputs (materials of contribution Steel, Aluminum and special gases Helio, Argon.)
Properly manage the resources assigned to the metallurgical laboratory.
Implement the methods of order, cleaning and continuous improvement in the destructive testing workshop
Preparation of work instructions and procedures, FMEA, Process sheets, Control plan, error proofing, Acceptance criteria, Visual aids, etc.
Provide support in applying suppliers audits in support of SQA.
Give training to manufacturing, both in welding and new products."
We are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electromechanical engineering, similar.
Advanced level of english
+5 years of experience as manufacturing engineer (process). in welding “MIG/ MAG (GMAW) "Gas Metal Arc Welding " , desirable automotive industry.
Robot programming (fanuc), intermediate level
Fronius welding machine (desirable).
Process mapping, flowcharts, definition of layouts, standardized work. Definition, costing, quotation, evaluation and purchase of equipment for manufacturing and welding.
Knowledge in APQP/PPAP/PFMEA/Error proofing/ISO TS 16949, lean manufacturing / 5S’s / VSM / Kaizen. Knowledge in AUTOCAD / CAD system/ interpretation of electric and mechanical planes. GD&T Desirable knowledge in Automation and Controls (PLC's / PC Control).
