The Training Specialist’s primary responsibility is to facilitate and deliver learning solutions in a manner that engages the learner and produces the desired outcomes for the organization. This position will develop, implement and deliver initial and ongoing staff training and support for Rushmore. Development will require the ability to analyze performance needs and then conceptualize, design, and produce learning programs and tools utilizing sound instructional design principals and best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Display an observable sense of urgency in the execution of daily job functions.
Must be proficient with curriculum development, adult education, technical writing and classroom preparation for training.
Develop training material for operations staff, among others, on mortgage products, loan origination and servicing, company best practices, Compliance, and all other Mortgage topics.
Provide onboarding training and development support for Rushmore new hires, as well as on-going training for existing employees in conjunction with our subject matter experts (“SMEs”).
Work with Assistant Vice President of Learning & Development to develop and maintain appropriate curriculum.
Assist with managing and troubleshooting LMS, including but not limited to: user management, site administration, course administration, reporting.
Extract training data from established database then compile and prepare statistical reports for management review.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and offer creative solutions.
Utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills when collaborating with subject matter experts to develop identified training needs and appropriate method of delivery.
Facilitate face-to face and webinar training presentations for employees.
Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools to develop effective courses.
Establish and maintain department standards for material design.
Create media to support learning (e.g., visual aids for face-to-face, various multimedia for e-learning and online).
Maintain training deliverables such as job aids, simulations, online help, presentation decks, and web based training (WBT), etc.
Edit and proof courseware for quality, consistency, and adherence to standards.
Perform ongoing reviews of published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.
Execute copyediting and quality assurance reviews, including reviewing for grammar, style, context, and spelling.
Translate complex technical content into easily readable text or tables, charts, and graphics.
Contribute to training process improvements and participates in Enterprise projects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Proven technical writing and editing skills.
Superior command of the English language including rules and usage.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree or related studies.
Three plus years’ of progressive training experience.
Two plus years’ instructional design, curriculum development, adult education, technical writing and editing experience.
Experience in creating business processes and procedures.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:
Proficient with Windows-based PC.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Mortgage systems, preferred.
Experience with eLearning course authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate, preferred.
Experience with an LMS functionality preferred.
Experience in video production and knowledge of audio/video editing software preferred.
