About the Teacher Position
We are looking for teachers who want to be creative, make fun art projects, play hide and go seek, have dance parties, plant a garden and watch it grow! At Little Stars, we believe in teaching children through not only curriculum but also through everyday play opportunities.
At Little Stars, teachers have the opportunity to contribute to curriculum and assist in developing activities to stimulate the children and their learning. Teachers provide daily and weekly schedules for the classroom, supervise and play with the children, teach children acceptable socialization skills and focus on learning the alphabet, colors, numbers, attend to children’s needs, create art and craft projects with the children, and discuss development with parents. This position will primarily be working with the toddlers but at closing time, will combine with the infants or preschoolers.
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive infant, toddler, and preschool curriculum based on best practices and research on early brain development and learning. As we provide an enriched, stimulating environment, filled with child-initiated learning experiences, children are offered the opportunity to learn and develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary to become independent, productive individuals.
