Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager of International Relations will support the Manager of the Center for Global Engagement playing a key role in developing and executing a forward-thinking vision and a mission-driven organizational culture for Center for Global Engagement. Under the general direction of the Manager of the Center for Global Engagement, maintains responsibility for activities related to the recruitment of international students. Primary responsibility for communicating with overseas agencies and agents as well as their target recruits. Travel abroad required. The Assistant Manager leads the recruitment and application review process, and manages prospective student communications from the point of initial contact through all admission and enrollment requirements. The successful candidate will be a relationship builder who listens, inspires, and establishes trust and collaborative partnerships across the University.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential
- Territory Management: formulates international travel, telephone and email communication plan from inquiring through to enrolled students in support of overall goals for international undergraduate and graduate students.

Recruiting and Counseling Prospective Students: develops strong working relationships with agents and agencies, prospective students, including parents/family members; exercises independent judgment in evaluating students as potential candidates for admission with particular emphasis on academic preparation.

Ensures outstanding admissions experience through first term registration processes for undergraduate and graduate students.

Info Sessions: conducts presentations to prospective students and their parents/families. Work collaboratively within admissions and across campus to ensure that enrollment objectives are achieved. Exercises discretion in planning for travel, receptions and other special events.

Communication: initiate tracked and documented telephone / email contact with prospective students and applicants to ensure that prospective and admitted students receive personal verbal and written communication; document each telephone and email contact. Outstanding speaking, writing and listening skills are required.

Collaborate with the team including Enrollment Marketing and Campus Visit Experience on all internal and external activities.

Application File Review: reading applications, recommending students for review by Admission Committee. Must exercise good judgment regarding the academic, personal and co-curricular qualities Regis University desires in its student body.

Event Programming: participates in planning, implementing, and communicating details of on and off-campus events for the Office of Admission

Social networking: participates in social networking initiatives for the Office of Admission.

Financial Aid: develop expertise in describing Regis University's merit scholarships and financial aid awarding policies and practices, and ensure the highest level of service and accuracy with families.

Confidentiality: must safeguard the confidentiality of student, staff and University information by exercising discretion in managing records and communication with faculty, staff, parents, alumni and current and prospective students.

Professionalism: must demonstrate the highest professional demeanor and ethical behavior.

Ensure compliance with all Regis policies and all federal, state and accreditation requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Experience:
-
At least one year of experience in international student recruiting and admissions
- Knowledge of international higher education.

Knowledge of international admissions and enrollment practices
-
Prior international operations experience, advising skills, preferably in higher education.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires occasional weekend and/or evening work. In addition, some travel is required.

Pay Rate:
$55,000 / annually commensurate with qualifications.
