Sanguine is transforming medical research by helping put patients in control of their healthcare data. We work with patients directly to match them with research studies and opportunities to accelerate research for their condition. Sanguine is looking for an experienced, hungry, capable leader who can close deals with the TOP global pharmaceutical companies. This individual’s sole focus will be to meet with and pitch new clients and close new deals, and identify and close new deals in existing companies in their region. The compensation is UNCAPPED - the sky is the limit. OTE is $240,000, and your payout will be at least 9% on every dollar of revenue after hitting quota.

YOUR GOAL: Make sure that your customers are as happy as possible, and make sure that your customers continue buying more of what we have to offer.

You will start off with a book of business - existing clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will then work with our internal teams to ensure that their processes are meeting the needs of the customer. Growing existing accounts and utilizing your skills in both cross-selling and upselling will be a constant activity. To thrive in this role, you will need to be a master in customer-facing communication, relationship management, and presentation. Given the magnitude and significance of these accounts, we prefer that you have 10+ years experience in B2B sales or in a related field.


  • Identify and close new opportunities within existing and new clientele
  • Create and execute on a territory plan to drive customer retention and upsell opportunities
  • Manage pipeline of upcoming renewal opportunities & consistently achieve monthly and quarterly revenue retention targets
  • Exceed monthly/quarterly growth and renewal goals
  • Manage and maintain accurate leads, opportunities, and account information within
  • Proactively drive accounts with minimal oversight
  • Develop multi-level relationships throughout customer organizations, from manager to executive-level sponsors
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives & key stakeholders by providing consultative recommendations & best practices that will allow customers to achieve their primary business objectives

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must have consultative skills, deep domain/sector knowledge, and understand the role service plays in the organization.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in an account executive role providing services solutions to large enterprises
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, communication & cross-group collaboration skills
  • Must be able to proactively drive accounts with minimal oversight from sales or senior management
  • Proven track record of sustaining & growing complex relationships including closing the renewal, up sell / cross sell opportunities
  • Experience in customer-facing project management, technical pre-sales or other technical consulting role
  • Has owned & exceeded a Quota
  • Incredibly detail oriented, ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment
  • MS Office knowledge including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with and other CRM tools
  • Executive Facilitator (Working with VPs/Directors to understand needs)
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, strategies and current development technologies
  • Desire to learn new value propositions, products, and customers
  • Passionate about building a great company and a customer-centric culture
  • Self-starter with ability manage time and prioritize competing demands
