Interior Design Assistant

Jennifer Garner Interiors - Austin, TX

Jennifer Garner Interiors, a boutique residential interior design firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a full time Interior Design Assistant. Not the average, cookie-cutter interior design firm, we take the wants, needs, and habits of our clients and bring them to life in a home perfectly tailored to fit their unique personalities. Everyday is different as we bring inspiration to each project. Whether it starts with an idea for a transformative remodel or a set of blueprints for a new custom home, we create exceptionally crafted spaces that are both beautiful and livable.

We are looking for a highly organized individual who can balance creative design with analytical attention to detail. Efficiency, accuracy and creativity are a must. The Interior Design Assistant’s primary role is to assist, implement and execute the Principle Designer’s creative vision for each project. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and ask the right questions. Daily tasks for this position will include reading and interpreting architectural drawings, drafting plan revisions, assisting in the selection of construction materials and finishes, documenting all selections and specifications, taking meticulous notes at onsite meetings, preparing digital and physical design presentations, drawing furniture layouts, conceptualizing and designing interior architectural details, and assisting in the preparation of estimates for project budgets. Candidate must be able to work in a small group setting with a flexible attitude and the ability to prioritize workload, multiple tasks, and deadlines. You will be juggling multiple projects and must be able to communicate in a mature and approachable way that represents the Jennifer Garner Interiors brand. We have a casual, flexible and positive work environment, but maintain a professional atmosphere where we work hard to get our clients what they need as quickly as possible.
