Overview
ELCON Electrical Contractors, Inc is seeking an experienced manager capable of leading a team of up to 10 electricians and apprentices to oversee our service department and small contracts division. ELCON Electrical Contractors, Inc has a historically great service department with talented electricians serving the metro Jackson, MS area. Our clientele includes, retail stores, churches, apartment complexes, industrial facilities, and many more. The right candidate must have great people skills, the ability to communicate effectively with technicians and customers, and strong organizational skills pertaining to scheduling and invoicing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the department, including sales, quotes, employee management, and compiling billing information
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for department staff
- Monitor stock levels of service vehicles to ensure they have proper materials to complete service calls
- Prepare quotes as requested by customers
- Implement strategies to maximize market opportunities and drive departmental growth
- Familiarity with basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Word and Excel)
Experience
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Experience in scheduling and prioritizing projects
- Some knowledge of electrical installations and troubleshooting
- Experience in conducting interviews and managing staff
- Experience estimating labor and materials to complete projects, Accubid preferred - Strong customer service skills
