Our HR team is seeking a business partner who will serve as the general manager of talent for the client groups – owning the full talent success lifecycle for the business at both strategic and hands-on levels. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in cultivating a strong culture and ensuring operational excellence to support SoFi’s growth and success. This individual must be gritty, data driven, analytical and business-savvy. He or she will be held accountable for the design, assessment, acquisition, development, reward and recognition, growth and retention of our people, as the organization evolves and scales.
Responsible for building relationship with individuals and teams to implement business strategies that meet the corporate objectives and development needs
Lead organizational design initiatives, ensuring the optimum operating model and structure to help client groups scale
Design and execute on talent solutions by implementing high-level business strategies and building people oriented programs to drive positive changes across the organization
Influence talent decisions by keeping a pulse on the business, teams and industry
Provide strategic business partnerships to leaders on change management, compensations, retention, engagement, talent assessment, and performance management
Holistically and thoughtfully onboard new staff and acquaint them with company practices, culture and business
Provide coaching to senior leadership and assist executives in the review, preparation and administration of the organization’s discretionary bonus, and wage & salary programs.
Interpret and leverage data to problem-solve and drive talent priorities
Always run after problems to ensure operational excellence and “things” do not fall through the cracks.
Deliver talent management programs including but not limited to performance management, employee retention, learning and development, on-boarding new employees, and succession planning
Facilitate assessment processes for employee development and drive a culture that supports constant learning, including coaching and mentoring managers on how to create meaningful, personalized development plans
Serve as the primary contact to assist leaders and individuals in resolving issues and grievances
10 years of HR experience
5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent
Experience with coaching at the manager level, focus on performance management, employee relations and data analytics/reporting
Proven ability to perform successfully in a fast moving, continuously changing environment
Interpersonal and communication experience to build trust-based relationships at all levels of the organization.
BA/BS degree with emphasis in HR or equivalent 10+ years of field related experience.
Experience supporting a tech, financial services or startup company
Solid understanding of technology and extremely business-oriented
Experience working with or in support of C-level executives.
Must be driven, assertive, and extremely tech-savvy – comfortable managing any new office tools and systems
Quick learner and proven ability to lead organizational change efforts effectively
Exceptional analytical skills
Excellent multitasker – experience working with different business units
Excellent team player – experience working with teams and individuals across geographic locations and sub-cultures
