The Information Technology (IT) Developer is a core member of PCC’s Information Technology Team. They are responsible for building applications and web experiences across the co-op. The IT Developer helps craft systems by contributing to the development of high-performing, well-tested and thoughtfully architected software applications that power our customer experiences.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Applying a broad understanding of new technologies and drives technology refresh within legacy applications
  • Translating application use cases, existing backlog and requirements into functional/released applications
  • Refactoring existing .NET applications to incorporate new web API services
  • Ensuring the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications
  • Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devises solutions to these problems
  • Helping maintain code quality, organization and automation
  • Writing documentation and validation protocols that meet regulatory standards and templates
  • Handling confidential information using discretion and judgment

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to: Sr. Programmer/IT Development Manager

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 3 years’ experience in object-oriented software development using Microsoft .NET Technologies; Angular experience a plus
  • Proficient in writing and maintaining complex SQL queries, SSIS packages and SSRS reports
  • Experience with MS .Net (Visual Studio) Developer required
  • Previous experience with financial and retail systems preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and problem solve with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the co-op
