In this role, you have the opportunity to deliver our promise of professional installations by managing the project scoping, planning, communication, integration, and physical installation at customer sites of the Philips IntelliSite Pathology Solution (PIPS) digital pathology solution components; being the ultra-fast scanner (UFS) and the pathology image management system (IMS).
You are responsible for:
As an Implementation Manager/Technical Project Manager, you will coordinate with our customers, business partners, and Philips Team resources to lead the project planning, communication, integration, and physical installation at customer sites of the Philips IntelliSite Pathology Solution (PIPS) digital pathology solution components including the ultra-fast scanner (UFS) and the pathology image management system (IMS).
Create, manage and execute installation plans and schedules, including site coordination, customer education and consultation as required
Organize, host and attend regularly scheduled onsite and remote conferences with customers.
Review feedback from customers, compile and analyze support data and recommend technical changes as appropriate.
Manage and communicate on a high level of professionalism to consultants and suppliers of information systems connected to DPS.
Responsible for successful DPS implementation and customer acceptance, within the agreed upon timeframe, of the delivered digital pathology solution.
Complete project documentation including weekly reports on project status, action item management and timeline.
Contribute to knowledge transfer within the functional group as required.
Flexibility and ad hoc problem solving system issues sometimes related to customer environment
Provide remote support on installed base; contribute to knowledge transfer within the functional group and pre-build IMS systems as required.
Trade show attendance and customer demo setup, breakdown and support.
Assisting in customer adoption of digital pathology work flow technology, replacing or supplementing glass work flow
Focus on North American based customers, but implementations globally to be performed as required. Willing to travel up to 75%.

The Philips Digital Pathology (PDP) venture started on 1 May 2007. The venture is establishing a worldwide business for total digital pathology solutions encompassing an ultra-fast scanner for microscope tissue slides, a pathology viewer/workstation/PACS and several disease specific (mostly for cancer types) computer assisted detection (CAD) solutions. We aim to leverage multiple Philips assets and capabilities (brand, market channel, technology) for establishing the total solution and being the 1st to market to establish a dominant market position.

This helps them work more effectively, leading to higher quality diagnosis and as a result better patient care.
To succeed in this role, you should have following skills and experience:
5+ years of experience in deploying Healthcare IT solutions into enterprise networks.
Bachelor’s degree with > 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with < 3 years of related experience.
Technical experience and expertise combined with project management skills in the Healthcare IT environment
Working knowledge of Windows Server, VMWare, Networking, AD, SSL, IT Troubleshooting, Windows Workstation, Customer Remote Support VPN’s, Enterprise and Local File Storage Systems, System Backups, High Resolution Image Acquisition, and Image Quality Analysis.
Knowledge in system integration/installation and pathology workflow integration, including the communication standards used in the industry (XML, HL7, DICOM)
Pathology Laboratory work flow and environment experience a plus
High level of professionalism in communicating with internal, external customers, and business partners.
Ability to manage daily priorities keeping multiple projects on schedule
