Tailored Brands, LLC. is looking for an experienced Information Technology manager with experience managing developers for day to day systems support, systems upgrades and projects. This position will be responsible for the systems and resource management for our Joseph Abboud Factory systems and for the retail transaction side of our POS and UniVerse merchandise systems. The position will manage six developers and will also have access to the Analysts that are part of the overall team. The Position will be based in Houston Texas and will require some travel to our factory systems team located in the Boston Massachusetts area on occasion. Most of the factory systems management will be done remotely from the Houston area. This position reports to the Director of Merchandise systems for Tailored Brands.
Has demonstrated successful project work from vision to delivery
Has demonstrated successful support related to SLA adherence and problem resolution protocols
Has a good working knowledge of how to manage and build project plans, provide estimations, define detail tasks for development, testing and implementation
Has experience managing two or more individual team members, experience managing resources remotely is a plus
Has demonstrated the ability manage system documentation and maintenance of this documentation
Has good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Can adapt to changing priorities and is flexible to meet ever changing business needs
Ability to assess problems quickly and assign address with resolution plans within the normal SLA
Interact and build a good working relationship with the business team members for both the Factory and Retail systems
Interact and build a good working relationship with the other Merchandise Systems Support manager, the PMO team and other Information Technology team managers and developers to ensure good communication lines, good working knowledge of systems expertise and partners for projects and support.
Manage the six developers on the Factory and Retail systems team to ensure their growth and their success in the work and projects to which they are assigned as well as meeting their established goals and growth plans related to their Personal Evaluation Plans
Work with the Analysts on the team to ensure good requirements, test scenarios, plans and problem documentation is provided as needed for the Factory and Retail systems team
Work with other IT teams and departments to ensure high quality coding and integration
Establish and maintain a quality level of productivity and efficiency using good time management skills
Be able to work with minimal supervision and understand shifting priorities while still providing overall expected deliverables
Work with both the end user community as well as the business teams to meet goals and deadlines for projects and support work
Some travel may be required but travel is very limited and would be primarily to the Joseph Abboud Factory offices
This position will be located in Houston Texas at the Oak Park Office
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and relevant work experience. Information Technology degree preferred
Five plus years of management experience with Information Technology systems, preferably related to retail or factory systems or both
Has working experience with and knowledge of AS400 systems and the RPG coding language associated with these systems
Knowledgeable in other second, third and fourth generation coding languages including Basic, SQL, Python, Java, etc
Has working knowledge and experience with different types of Database engines including DB2, Sequel, Oracle and UniVerse Multi-value
Knowledgeable of EIS protocols and Web Services including Tibco, JSON, Rest, XML, MQ, and more
Familiar with both waterfall and agile development methodologies
Knowledgeable of Sarbanes Oxley controls and accounting requirements related to Information Technology and Controls as required of a public company
Knowledgeable of PII and PCI compliance regulations as applied to Information Technology
Experience with large ERP systems used to support a wide array of internal customers and data processing
Work Enviornment & Physical & Mental Demands:
Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis.
Ability to perform general office administrative activities: writing, copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.
Regular and on-time attendance.
Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
