Job Description:
This position will report to the US Trust (UST) Data Executive within the UST Chief Operating Office. Data Stewards/Product Managers are guardians and decision makers for account and client data to ensure proper client experience and to support operational and regulatory processes. The role provides expertise and guidance to UST and Enterprise initiatives so as to ensure the integrity and proper use of UST client and account data within UST and across the Enterprise.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Steward/Product Manager partners with the business, technology, operations and regulatory teams within UST and across the Enterprise. The role includes acting as the project manager or a subject matter expert on UST and Enterprise initiatives to provide guidance and consistency to teams and to support the Enterprise Data Management standards. Needs to understand client/account data from point of capture through how it flows to the Authorized Data Stores and how it is ultimately used. Role requires the ability to independently assess and debate options while balancing the needs of multiple constituencies; formally document approaches, develop action plans and drive changes to policies, procedures or systems. Overall objective is to ensure the accurate and proper use of the data while keeping the clients best interest at the forefront.

Responsibilities include

Partner with the UST LOB; Enterprise LOB, Technology and regulatory teams to evaluate current processes and develop strategies to implement changes to ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency within UST and across the Enterprise
Act as Project manager for UST /Enterprise initiatives and/or a Subject Matter Expert (SME) e.g. RPS KYC Capture Tool, Single version of contact data across the Enterprise, AML Data feeds
Support resolution of production issues; document data and process flows and conduct data analysis to drive a clean-up of client data - e.g. regulatory clean-ups, clients/account misalignment…
Provide management reporting and metrics on overall progress; data integrity and issue management and remediation/action plans
Manages the data governance processes including the requests to access UST data and the quarterly UST Data Executive meetings

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred
10+ years financial industry experience required preferably with Finance, Tech or Data analytics role. Prior regulatory experience strongly preferred.
Detail oriented with the ability to handle a variety of tasks; works in a self-directed manner and takes a proactive approach to job responsibilities
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work, manage complexity and deliver solutions on deadlines
Demonstrated passion for intellectual curiosity and accuracy as well as the ability to research issues and identify root cause and patterns.
Project management experience including defining a need, decomposing a project steps; defining the action plan and ensuring execution is completed
Strong communication skills including oral and presentation skills
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills required
Very strong spreadsheet skills;, MS Access, MS Excel, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SQL, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint
