Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Wholesale Commercial Real Estate (WCRE) operates throughout the United States, as well as Canada and the United Kingdom, to deliver a comprehensive platform of financing and banking products for experienced commercial real estate companies including balance sheet lending, CMBS origination and distribution, loan servicing, agency financing for multifamily properties, and debt and equity capital for affordable housing.
Real Estate Capital Markets (RECM) specializes in originating commercial real estate loans intended for CMBS securitization. The group originates loans in all major markets across the US on varying property types and with loan amounts ranging from $1 million to over $1B.
The Commercial Mortgage Pursuit Manager 1 within RECM develops business relationships with borrowers and mortgage bankers on a national basis.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Working with clients to understand needs and coordinates efforts to service client organizations by working closely with underwriting, pricing, and loan administration
Performing financial analysis research, underwriting and due diligence related to Commercial Mortgage originations
Developing and maintaining knowledge of loan products and provides market intelligence to maintain competitive edge
Taking on an origination role for the least complicated transactions
Establishing new contacts with a goal of developing widespread correspondent relationships for the group
Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: commercial real estate lending, multifamily real estate lending, or commercial mortgage backed securities
3+ years of leadership experience
Experience with Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities or Government Agency Services
Experience in multifamily capital or real estate capital markets
Extensive knowledge and understanding of bank, Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE), and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities lending programs and credit policies
Knowledge and understanding of one or more government agency commercial mortgage specialty products
3+ years of credit markets experience
3+ years of credit risk experience
3+ years of credit, structuring, and syndications experience

5+ years of credit underwriting or valuation experience
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills
Experience utilizing Argus software
