We are now searching for a Sales & Operations Manage to lead and grow our Aerospace / Aircraft business in the U.S.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

The position needs a results-oriented and focused individual who understands the Aerospace / Aircraft industry supply chain from leading OEMs to their subcontractors (Tier 1, 2, and 3 suppliers), particularly in what pertains to specialty metals and its applications. The incumbent is required to plan, work and continuously improve within established Company policies and deadlines and under minimal supervision. Above all, they should also bring demonstrated success in recognizing opportunities fast and turning them into action.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new customers, new segments and new applications. Manage activities of sales territories, deploying CRM tools to monitor development of new accounts and pipeline of new businesses, and to manage wallet share development of existing customers. Negotiate long-term agreements.
  • Own sales budgeting process for Business Unit, and subsequent target deployment. Develop sales forecasts, working closely with Supply Chain to coordinate purchasing forecasts that ensure optimal raw material inventory levels.
  • Lead a multi-disciplined geographically dispersed North American sales and operations team. Develop talent, and build a high performing team, ensuring attainment of revenue, profitability, and inventory goals.
  • Own overall strategy for Aerospace / Aircraft segment, working in conjunction with sales and product managers at producing mills in Austria and regional executive leadership to establish product portfolio, distribution footprint, and value-added service capabilities. Analyze and take the business lead on potential acquisitions and or green field solutions.
  • Lead formulation of overall marketing communications strategy in the North America region, including but not limited to: internet presence, participation in trade shows, etc.
  • Oversee dedicated warehouse and order-fulfillment operations, ensuring highest level of safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery standards. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering or related fields.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • 10+ years sales experience. Operations experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry materials and applications preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment across all disciplines.
  • Travel would be expected 30% to 50% of the time, mostly in the US.
