What You'll Do:
- In-Home Visits: Provide comprehensive care during in-home visits, which includes feeding, engaging in enriching playtime, and ensuring a comforting presence for our clients' pets. Your role makes each pet feel loved and secure in their home environment.
- Daily Walks: Lead daily walks that are enjoyable and stimulating for the pets. These walks provide ample opportunities for physical exercise, mental stimulation, and sensory engagement, contributing significantly to the pets' overall well-being.
- Overnight Care: Provide in-home overnight care services as a reassuring presence for pets requiring company through the night. This role demands a responsible and compassionate approach, ensuring pets are comfortable, secure, and content.
- Safety and Happiness Standards: Maintain the highest standards of safety and happiness for all pets under your care. This involves attentive supervision, prompt identification and mitigation of potential hazards, and a nurturing environment.
- Communication with Pet Parents: Maintain clear, professional, and consistent communication with pet owners. Provide updates and share heartwarming photos of their pets, offering reassurance and fostering trust through transparency and regular engagement.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Responsibly manage the cleaning of messes, regardless of size or nature, as part of the comprehensive care provided. This task is crucial in ensuring a hygienic and pleasant environment for pets and their families.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- We are looking for sitters who live in Saint Michael, Albertville, or Otsego. Applicants residing outside of these areas will not be considered.
- Is comfortable with a flexing schedule to accommodate the varying needs of our clients. You will have pet visits at all times of the day, so we require total availability.
- Is available to provide 24-hour care in the pet's homes.
- Is physically capable of walking large dogs with varying on-leash manners in all weather conditions.
- Can lift pets of all sizes.
- Takes pride in completing visits thoroughly and with great attention to detail.
- Demonstrates punctuality, aiming to arrive early to appointments.
- Exhibits unwavering reliability and understanding of their critical role in our clients' and pets' lives.
- Is 21 or older, with applicants over 35 highly encouraged.
- Can navigate and commute in all weather conditions, bringing energy and enthusiasm to each visit.
- Has a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone with the latest operating system.
- Possesses strong customer service skills, effectively communicating with clients.
- Has exceptional writing and grammar skills for completing visit reports. Photography talents are a bonus.
- Is extremely comfortable operating several phone apps simultaneously.
- Is organized and highly detail-oriented.
- Will pass a comprehensive background check.
Position Details:
- This staff position starts as part-time as we build your client portfolio. After 2-3 months, you will achieve a full-time schedule.
