YPS anesthesia is looking for a self-motivated CRNA to join its team at Women's and Childrens Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana. The anesthesia department is comprised of 8 full time CRNAs and 1 Anesthesiologist during the day to cover 6 sites of service. In - house night coverage is provided by a rotation of 3 Anesthesiologist. Call is every 7th weekend and approximately once a week with post call day off. Call at night is taken from home. There is also opportunity to earn more money on your post call day by covering a small clinic for 1-2 hours in the morning on occasion.
Women's and Children's offers lots of autonomy to do your own blocks, including epidurals and spinals on OB. Case types include: GYN surgery, adult general surgery (no adult ICU so 99% bread and butter), pediatric orthopedic, pediatric GI, pediatric and adult urology, ENT, a small amount of pediatric neuro, and pediatric general surgery. No hearts.
CRNA base compensation is $256,000/year increasing to $266,000/year after year 1. This compensation will be paid on a 1099 in exchange for 44 weeks of anesthesia coverage. Providers will have 40 days off plus post call days and that does not include the holidays. Malpractice insurance is covered by YPS.
