Lead, Liquidation Sales
Responsible for the strategic direction and management of Liquidation Sales to effectively drive cost recovery and revenue for excess and old-age inventory
Lead the connectivity with US Commercial Operations, Foodservice, and the Commercial Business Units to understand inventory of current excess inventory and old-age products and provide liquidation options
Manage the direct sale and disposition of distressed inventory: over aged, excess inventory and special projects including sales of off specification, underweights, and excess packaging
Problem solve to identify opportunities that provide quick and efficient sales consistent with agreed upon procedures, within the customers’ strategies for maximum sales within minimum loss (disposal of product beyond code date) and provide maximum cash recovery for all liquidated KHC product sales
Negotiate pricing and gain customer commitments across all US markets
Lead the development and execution of the Provisional Code (P-Code) process extending sales to existing traditional customers
Oversee overall customer sales operations including but not limited to: new customer setup, business reviews and payments and deductions
Timely rejection of unsold inventory to Feeding America, KHC’s go to food bank
Responsible for maintaining files and business documentation as directed by Kraft Heinz Policy to thoroughly document business transactions with the customer
Manage and lead the Liquidation Sales Team to establish goals, principles and direction
Develop working relationships with the US Foodservice leadership team and the Retail Sales Area Vice Presidents and Head of Customer Sales teams
A minimum of 5 years of experience in category management, customer management, and account management (food, beverage, or CPG company is preferred)
Direct team management is essential
Strong sales background with an excellent understanding of business processes including supply chain and logistics
Experience in effective customer management and selling to achieve objectives
Ability to work independently and to plan, organize and set/achieve priorities when performing work
Superior interpersonal skills (written, verbal, presentation); ability to work within a Corporate Business framework.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the Customer and gain their trust and respect
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Strong negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills; Use and understanding of syndicated data
Ability to travel based on business need is required
