As a member of our Project Execution team, you'll draw on your strengths managing people and processes to manage technology projects that typically span multiple lines of business and have firm-wide implications. You'll lead these projects from initiation through implementation, including: establishing project requirements, priorities and deadlines; ensuring that relevant risk and architecture requirements are in place; and managing the project budget and resources. In addition to collaborating with your teammates, you'll communicate with stakeholders across the firm to work toward the best possible outcomes. While this role is rooted in project management, it's a terrific opportunity to develop your leadership skills and make lasting connections throughout JPMorgan Chase & Co.
This position will support the head chief of staff for a senior executive in the corporate technology department. The primary responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks ranging from: managing larger projects; central/ongoing tasks such as budget management and performance analysis: and smaller/basic tasks such as creating presentations and other visuals. Initial responsibilities will be more of the “central/ongoing” and “smaller/basic” variety and will progress towards larger projects over time. There are moderate to heavy budget management responsibilities and the position will draw from a variety of traditional business analysis and project management competencies; the successful candidate should have experience and/or be interested in working for a hybrid position, wearing “multiple hats”.
This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Proficiency in one or more business disciplines or functions
Experience project managing multiple projects
Knowledge of global and line of business project management standards and methods
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Minimum five years of chief of staff responsibility or related competencies. Related competencies could include but are not limited to business analysis, project/program management functions, or executive assistant functions
Experience with or aptitude to learn about budgeting/financial projects; highly analytical mindset needed
Previous experience and/or willingness to perform a hybrid role performing a number of concurrent tasks of widely varying scope and complexity
Preferred qualifications include: Experience working within a large organization or technology group and/or knowledge or experience of CMM and Six Sigma Methodologies
