Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an Epidemiologist III - Immunization: Vaccine Preventable Disease Outbreak Response for a 52-week contract in Chicago, IL. to support the Immunization and Vaccines for Children (VFC) grant to enhance surveillance for hepatitis A outbreaks and guide targeted vaccination efforts to prevent excess mortality.
Implement local activities to increase immunization coverage in adults at high-risk for hepatitis A,
Improve timely and complete reporting of hepatitis A cases through creation of an online pan-hepatitis case report form
Analyze surveillance data to track the cause, effect and course of the outbreaks in terms of prevalence, incidence, time trends and risk factors,
Write programs or use various software to generate complex data summaries, tables, charts, and graphic displays to manipulate data.
Works with senior staff in designing disease intervention programs and recommending changes based on the analysis of epidemiological data,
Assists in identifying new causes and risk factors for Hepatitis A,
Oversees the development and maintenance of databases on health-related issues.
Master's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or a directly related field from an accredited college or university
4 years of experience performing epidemiological and statistical analysis work
