Vice President, Brand and Customer Experience Marketing
Job Summary and Mission
Raymour & Flanigan is the Northeast's largest and most trusted furniture and mattress retailer. The privately-held company has grown its store count by over 30% in the past three years and is committed to continued investment and growth. The company is currently investing heavily in its existing footprint of stores, recently created Outlet channel and rapidly growing digital presence.
We are currently seeking to hire a Vice President of Brand and Customer Experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic evolution of the brand and creative process from concept to completion. Critical points of focus are: (1) modernize Marketing's approach to customer experience management; (2) Upgrade/strengthen campaign strategy and management and (3) transform Marketing's approach to driving business growth. You will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing, while leading the internal creative agency. This position requires collaboration with all in-house teams, especially Merchandising, E-commerce, Technology and Sales. High energy, intellect and creativity are musts! Success will be measured by store traffic and comp store sales growth, customer acquisition and retention metrics.
Brand strategy and evolution: Strategically guide and evolve the brand's positioning towards relevant emotional and long-term connections with customers.
Brand management: Day-to-day management of the brand across all marketing channels and touch points.
Production oversight and responsibility:
Leadership of internal creative agency (graphic designers, copywriters) and in-house studio
Management of external creative agency partners
Customer Experience: Further refine customer personas and corresponding journey maps. Delivering enhancements to the omnichannel customer experience will be critical to marketing effectiveness.
Campaign strategy and execution: Develop marketing programs and promotional initiatives to enable achievement of the company's business objectives. Lead and oversee the campaign development process from concept to completion.
Digital presence: Ensure that the digital, including social media, experience is engaging for customers and brand appropriate. You will be largely accountable for ensuring brand relevance and acquisition of non-traditional consumer segments.
Partnerships & Collaborations: Develop marketing partnerships and collaborations that engage consumers and support the brand's evolution. You will be responsible for strategizing, planning, negotiating and executing the associated business plans while considering all relevant internal partners.
Events: Creative development, including conception and execution of brand events and activations.
Trends: Build and maintain an understanding of industry trends to make informed recommendations about brand and communications strategy.
Marketing Technology: Utilize and source relevant technology solutions to maximize effectiveness and efficiency for all department and company-wide projects where applicable.
5-10+ years of experience in a fast-paced, branding, creative marketing environment
Leadership experience overseeing a team with the ability to inspire, development and support
Creative and inspirational!
Marketing tech proficiency - Experience working with content management software, project management solutions, dynamic creative optimization tools, etc.
Experience evolving brands in consumer retail markets
Extensive experience with consumer segmentation, persona and journey management
Experience with marketing analytics, dashboards
A strong track record of designing and hiring high performance teams
Ability to establish and communicate goals and achieve timelines
Comfort and confidence in interacting with all levels of company leadership
Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
Excellent with Microsoft Office products
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
