ERP Practice Consulting Manager - Sage 300
US Based Remote Position
The ERP Practice Consulting Manager (CM) is responsible for leading teams of service professionals toward profitable and sustained high-quality delivery of services to customers. The CM is responsible for developing and managing the overall customer experience at select clients including delivering projects on time/on a budget, expanding business opportunities and leading delivery teams. The CM will help identify, develop, close and successfully manage client opportunities including management of deal structure and profitable delivery supervision. The CM is responsible for ensuring that engagement work products and deliverables are of the highest quality to ensure client satisfaction. The CM will also direct the business, technical and personnel aspects of consulting engagements for Sage 300 and assist with pre- sales efforts with existing and prospective clients
Knowledge & Experience
A consulting background with a record of delivering complex technical solutions within defined time frames and budgets.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Strong business expertise, a keen understanding of business needs, and ability to ensure technical solutions, strategies, practices, and governance deliver business and customer value.
Comprehensive understanding of ERP software (i.e. Sage 300, Sage X3, NetSuite, Acumatica, etc.)
Prior experience leading technical discussions with business and technical decision makers, including detailing technical specifications, product roadmaps, deployment, and third-party integrations
Experience with recruiting, personnel management, and performance reviews.
Excellent planning, organizational and leadership skills.
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations.
Strong negotiation and team building skills.
Strong decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Own P&L responsibility for the practice as a whole, as well as for individual projects.
Understand key business drivers and demonstrate business acumen
Direct and manage the overall and day-to-day business execution of client projects to ensure quality work products, solutions, and deliverables.
Manage relationships with clients, maintaining frequent and direct contact with client staff and senior level executives.
Identify, define, develop and implement techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiency, mitigate risk, resolve issues and achieve cost savings for our clients.
Share in client, practice, and performance management including project team management and the development of our team.
Manage consulting engagement execution, resources and bench time.
Monitor and direct others to act in accordance with company initiatives, processes, and methodology.
Proactively seek/create opportunities to participate in client interactions to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved
Ensure project deliverables meet and/or exceed client expectations
Develop and maintain positive relationships with key client/partner/stakeholders to ensure effective communication channels exist and client/partner satisfaction is achieved
Oversee the structuring of consulting engagements and support contracts to ensure they are properly scoped to meet the customer’s requirements and profitability.
Lead efforts in building the overall client relationship in existing accounts including relevant pre-sales activities, building senior management client/partner relationships, qualifying projects, understanding requirements, delivering presentations and proposals and closing new business
Direct delivery of all projects in defined area; ensuring projects are completed at or ahead of schedule, costs are managed to budget, and customer expectations are exceeded
Promote value billing and efficiency in service delivery
Develop subject matter expertise on practice products and serve as escalation point for any implementation issues
Advice teams on maintaining timelines. Provide leadership and direction to consulting teams in project delivery
Formal Education & Certification
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, quality assurance, or equivalent, required.
Advanced degree preferred.
This is a remote position with travel required.
