Position: Developer Intern

High Level Job Description:
STP Investment Services is seeking a self-starter and motivated Developer Intern to join them in this newly added role offering competitive pay and the opportunity to build their expertise through hands-on experience in the software development industry in this newly added position.
The successful candidate will be concurrently enrolled in a University pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Preferred candidates will have experience working with various web, database, and system technologies. Candidates must be able to work with minimal supervision within a structured environment, possess excellent teamwork, organization, troubleshooting and communication skills. Additionally, the successful candidate must be enthusiastic and take initiative and pride in their work. Self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly are essential skills in our dynamic environment.
The Developer Intern will perform a wide range of tasks including development of new applications, testing, and supporting various platforms and systems. The Developer Intern position is a very diverse position that presents a multitude of learning and growth opportunities for the successful candidate.
Concurrently enrolled in a University pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
3.0 GPA or higher
working knowledge of HTML / CSS / web standards
Ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the tech team, including the use of collaboration tools, source control, documentation and bug tracking
Strong organizational skills, rigor and attention to detail. Communication and documentation skills
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills mandatory
Preferred understanding of software testing involving documenting test cases, test results, and bug resolution
Passionate about new technologies, libraries, API’s and designing state of the art software solutions
