Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Banner Operations, the Retail Business Advisor is responsible to maintain and grow the Guardian, I.D.A., Remedy’sRx and Enterprise customer base by: supporting implementation of Banner programs and services; providing ongoing consultation to members on store operations; assisting with training and development of store management and employees; and identifying operational opportunities and assisting members with profitable solutions. Focus is on fulfillment of Banner goals as established and communicated on an annual basis and supported by corresponding measurements.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities
Plan and implement a regular program/call cycle of store visits with Banner stores in the assigned territory.
Establish, maintain and strengthen business relationships with members.
Negotiate the renewal of Banner Agreements with the Member.
To assist existing pharmacy owners in increasing sales and profitability.
Monitor pharmacy compliance on on-going basis.
On-going implementation of programs, in order to increase private brand sales.
Prepare and present business review(s) to members.
Provide comprehensive operational support in all areas; marketing, advertising, pharmacy operations, formulary compliance, point-of-sale (POS) activities, and pharmacy technology usage.
Train members and their employees on best practices in retail merchandising operations: displays, labeling, promotional activities, loss management and profitability analysis.
Influence members to subscribe to the various services offered by the Banner and refer them to the relevant stakeholders.
Liaison between the store, Retail Banner Services and preferred suppliers to ensure customer concerns are communicated and resolved.
Provide store leads to Business Development, PTS, Home Health Care and Pharmacy Services.
To recruit existing independent pharmacies to join the Guardian, I.D.A., Remedy’sRx and Enterprise Banner programs.
Help develop the network by identifying future sites and prospective members.
Develop branch merchandising during new start-up, renovation or relocation projects; taking into account the start-up plan, selected programs, sector and clients.
Introduce new members to Banner programs and services during start-ups, new store acquisitions or the addition of new associates.
Coordinate store grand openings.
Section B – Key Requirements
Grade 12 education minimum, University degree in a relevant discipline; Business preferred
5 years Retail/Pharmacy management experience with strong merchandising and sales background.
Understanding the practice and business of pharmacy in the Atlantic marketplace – dispensary experience an asset.
Ability to identify with the independent business person.
Knowledge of retail pharmacy products and operations.
Knowledge of POS and dispensary systems.
Superior organization, planning and time management skills.
Excellent selling and presentation skills.
Superior communication skills both written and verbal.
Demonstrated leadership and people skills.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels within McKesson Canada.
Valid Canadian Driver’s License.

Section A – Responsabilités principales
Mettre en œuvre les stratégies développées pour les membres des bannières dans les différents secteurs tel le marketing/publicité, les promotions, le service à la clientèle, etc., et en faire le suivi.
Présenter les revues d’affaires aux membres et supporter l’implantation des plans d’action qui en découlent avec leurs équipes.
Faire des analyses, conseiller et faire le suivi auprès des membres et de leurs employés relativement aux aspects de la mise en marché, financier, marketing, gestion du personnel, approvisionnement, comptabilité, services professionnels, marque privée et le service à la clientèle.
Former les membres et leurs employés sur les meilleures pratiques d’opérations de détail : mise en étalage, étiquetage, les activités promotionnelles, gestion des pertes, et analyse de la rentabilité.
Présenter les rapports de ventes/achats aux membres en fonction des objectifs établis.
Soutenir les membres relativement à tous les programmes et outils offerts par la bannière.
Concevoir la mise en marché de succursales lors de nouveaux aménagements, de rénovations ou de déménagements en tenant compte du plan d’aménagement, des programmes retenus, du secteur et de la clientèle.
Introduire les nouveaux membres aux programmes et aux services de la bannière lors de « Start-up », d’acquisition d’une nouvelle succursale ou l’ajout de nouveaux associés.
Solliciter les membres à adhérer aux divers services offerts par la bannière et les référer aux intervenants pertinents.
Utiliser, proposer et améliorer les outils et rapports disponibles pour le travail quotidien.
Solliciter et engager les membres à participer aux divers événements offerts par la bannière.
Participer/diriger des comités pour améliorer l’offre de services et des programmes bannières.
Supporter le renouvellement de conventions d’affiliation en collaboration avec le département du développement d’affaires.
Établir, entretenir et consolider des relations d’affaires auprès des membres.
Participer au développement du réseau en identifiant des futurs sites ainsi que des membres potentiels.
Se tenir à l’affût de toute opportunité présentant un potentiel pour les bannières, en termes de développement d’affaires et en faire part à son supérieur immédiat.
Section B – Exigences du poste
Qualifications

DES minimum; Diplôme universitaire préférable.
5 ans d’expérience pertinente en pharmacie ou dans un commerce de détail; comme représentant(e) ou marchandiseur.
Permis de conduire valide et apte à voyager à Québec jusqu'en Gaspésie (75 %).
