What You’ll Get to Do:
The Sr. Communications and AV Project Specialist supports the design and execution of client network and audio visual infrastructure projects.
This individual will be responsible for working directly with customers to capture initial project requirements through both meeting facilitation and on-site surveys.
The candidate will support in the development of the overall solution and upon authorization, execute the requested project requirements.
Typical projects include office expansions requiring additional horizontal cabling, technology deployments (phone and wireless access point installations) or new site stand-ups necessitating rack installations, fiber and copper cabling.
The Sr. Communications and AV Project Specialist will also oversee the AV maintenance support for 10 regional offices requiring bi-annual preventative surveys and break/fix support.
More About the Role:
Provides telecommunications and audio visual subject matter expertise in the design and implementation of client projects
Provides on-site infrastructure support to include, but not limited to, fiber/copper cable installation, outlet box installation, rack mounting and installation, conduit installation
Sets-up and configures new end user equipment including laptops, printers, copiers, VTC units, VoIP phones and other peripherals as part of small (5 person) or enterprise projects.
Documents all changes in ServiceNow ticketing system to ensure all asset and configuration information is up to date.
Investigates and resolves all connectivity issues related to end-user IT equipment
Actively participates in site specific project planning, providing detailed requirements for facility IT equipment IMACs
Responsible for the on-site coordination of break/fix installations with hardware maintenance providers
Performs bi-annual AV/VTC preventative maintenance surveys (inventory, clean equipment, test equipment) across 10 regional customer locations.
Self-motivated and proactive – able to work independently and identify opportunities and develop new ideas for efficiencies
Able to plan and prioritize workload to ensure objectives and tickets are achieved on time.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Ability to obtain/maintain EOD Suitability Clearance
Minimum of 15 years experience providing IT communications support services
Extensive background in tele communications network survey and implementation services
Previous experience using ITSM tools for ticket tracking
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Familiarity with network protocols and audio visual equipment
