Strategic Analysis is seeking technical support staff with capabilities to support the development and management of current and planned programs in the area of genetic analysis, epigenetics, metabolomics, and phenotype-genotype relationships.
Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following skill sets:
The qualified candidate should possess significant (4+ years) of laboratory experience in understanding genetic analysis, epigenetics, metabolomics, and phenotype-genotype relationships. A PhD in molecular biology, neurology, cognitive science, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, or other relevant field is required, while postdoctoral or equivalent industry experience is desired. Each applicant should have a deep knowledge of emerging trends in DNA sequencing and ideally the candidate would have some knowledge or experience in clinical molecular diagnostic platform development, to include familiarity with implantable or wearable health monitoring systems. The ideal applicant should have excellent verbal and written skills as well as a willingness to learn completely new research subjects (as needed) to support the DARPA BTO mission. Finally, the position will require interaction with epigenetics and molecular diagnostics world leaders in both industry and academia while serving as a representative of DARPA. Candidates with active security clearances sufficient to allow unsupervised entrance and work within the DARPA facility are preferred.
Candidate should hold a Ph.D. in molecular biology, neurology, cognitive science, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, or other relevant field is required, while postdoctoral or equivalent industry experience is desired.

Strong technical writing skills
Ability to communicate complex scientific ideas to broad audiences
Demonstrate a willingness to explore the scientific literature for emerging biotechnology
Excellent organization, communication and coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
Ability to work independently
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Clearance within a reasonable period of time. Active DoD clearance preferred.
