CVP is seeking a highly talented Security Systems Architect in cyber security to provide technical leadership and innovative ideas to set up a new enterprise security program for the Cybersecurity and Privacy Department.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Serve as the Security Solutions Architect for a 30+ person team
Bring new trends and innovative ideas regarding enterprise program implementation
Establish system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems
Provide support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of fire-wall and other related security issues on LANs/WANs
Design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
Ensure systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and ISO reference models, and profiles of standards - such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model - as they apply to the implementation and specification of information management solution of the application platform, across the Application Program Interface (API), and the external environment/software application
Ensure that the common operating environment is compliant with the Agency enterprise architecture and applicable reference models
Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action
Demonstrate knowledge of effective use of eGRC tool
Demonstrate a working knowledge of several of the following areas: understanding of business security practices and procedures; knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software firewalls and their implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial products (ex. - Domain Name Systems, public key encryption technology, Smartcard, Cyberguard, TimeStep)

Position Requirements

CISSP
Ability to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Sciences, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline
Minimum of 10 years in progressive cyber security environments and positions in the US Government or Commercial sector
Minimum of 3 years in a Security Architect position
Innovative leader with deep knowledge of latest Cyber Security Best Practices

Desired Skills

CISSP-ISSAP/ISSEP/ISSMP concentration certification
CISM, CISA, GSLC+, Certified Ethical Hacker certification
ISSO 27001 experience
