The Sr. Analyst- Process Improvement primary role is assisting the cross-functional Production Readiness Cell, Process Improvement Manager and the Master Development Scheduling Manager. Using Lean Methodologies such as Mistake Proofing, Visual Management and Daily Gemba Walks, develop IT and Lean tools to help teammates visualize problems and detect issues. Using strong computer skills, lean training and a thirst for making all things better, the analyst will be on the front line for game changing, disruptive improvements!
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze data for strategically addressing the following: problem identification, root cause identification, trends, measurement of key processes, improvement opportunities. Automate and Visualize Data to help other see problems real-time.
Partner cross-functionally to ensure material coverage of launch dates.
Assist management with selection processes requiring request for information and/or request for proposals including identifying vendors, developing response review criteria, facilitating the review process.
Work closely with New Product Launch team on the health of New Products. Review and coordinate MRP suggestions to support NPI launches time line.
Create timelines and coordinate purchase order placement to support NPI MRP requirements in collaboration with commodity buyer. Expedite supplier orders that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Take active part on lean activities with suppliers when apply (Consignment Inventory, Kanban Inventory). Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the new components and ensure proper SAP set-up.
Responsible for the data integrity related to planning, procurement and master data management systems. Supports detailed data analysis for Product Management group to support GTM and other related forums.
Perform risk assessments and develop contingency plans with possible alternatives and a recommendation when unanticipated situations arise.
Create and implements action plans with follow-up for suppliers failing to meet performance requirements.
Other duties and responsibilities, as needed
Bachelor’s degree with quantitative focus and leanings toward supply chain, project management, new product development or market analytics with strong computer skills OR Computer Science/Data Analytics.
3+ years of experience in analytical capacity.
Strong knowledge of SQL and other database tools including web interfaces and real-time visual reporting.
Demonstrated Lean Visual Management.
Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Preventative Actions.
Superstar in Excel; proficient in other Office tools. Experience building your own database/metric tool.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Maintain action item lists and project plans to achieve short and long-term goals. Work under high stress and tight deadlines.
Prior experience successfully doing the following: data analysis, statistical analysis, presentations, problem identification, database creation and queries.
Enterprise software experience (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Product Lifecycle Management software experience such as Enovia
Manufacturing floor experience. Public speaking experience.
Experience interfacing with international partners.
