Hotel Reservations Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Reservations Manager to join our team in our Laguna Hills, CA 92653 location. This position will report directly to the General Manager.

About the Role:
This position is responsible for assisting the public and group organizations in securing reservations for accommodations at the hotel property. Answer inquiries and obtain information for the public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties. Provide information regarding activities conducted at the establishment, the location of departments, offices, and employees within the organization.

What you’ll do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Accepts and processes reservation requests from hotel guests. Maintains and monitors daily inventory and rates of guest rooms.Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel reservation and booking policies.Trains staff members to process reservations, as needed.Assists with greeting and registering guests.Observes and monitors occupancy levels to ensure efficient maintenance of inventory.Adheres to hotel policies and procedures.Participates in financial activities, related to room reservations, such as the setting of room rates and group rate policies.Collects payments and record data pertaining to reservations.Prepares required documentation and reports pertaining to hotel reservations and occupancy.Receives and processes advance registration payments, mail or email letters of confirmation, or return checks when registrations cannot be accepted.Confers and cooperates with other departments to ensure coordination of hotel activities. Teamwork is one of the keys to success.Shows or assigns accommodations.Assigns inventory, room rates, offers, and room descriptions to OTA, per hotel procedures/systems (Epitome, SynXis, OTA extranets, etc.).Performs marketing and public relations activities.Is professional in both appearance and approach.Completes additional responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma requiredAssociate’s Degree a plus, but not required3-5 years relevant work experienceExperienced in SynXis and Epitome preferredExperienced with OTA extranets and reservations websitesExperienced with the excellent Customer Service, Hotel and Hospitality Industry preferredBilingual OR Trilingual in English and Spanish OR another language preferred

Physical Demands and Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; kneel or crouch; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.Ability to perform 65% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force regularly and exerting negligible force frequently or constantly to move objects, including the body. May be asked to exert up to 25 pounds force periodically as needed.High pressured, fast-paced environment with a high degree of self-management and team involvement. Significant telephone and personal disruption. Handling a large number of multiple steps in a complex system performed with accuracy and speed is essential to the successful completion of tasks. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
