Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

We are seeking a talented and seasoned individual with strong SAS/SQL/R/Python background, extensive experience in gathering and analyzing large data from multiple sources, and strategy development experience to create informative management reporting and provide analytical support for our consumer credit card/line of credit/loan account management programs. Proficient in analyzing A/B test and finding the learning, advance segmentation techniques such as clustering and supervised/unsupervised learning and data mining techniques.

Duties May Include:
Able to deliver comprehensive readiness planning including developing and tracking leading indicators leveraging internal and external data sources
Understand industry best practices through detailed competitive analyses by leveraging trade level credit bureau information and inform line management, upgrade and balance transfer strategies.
Innovate next generation data sources, leverage advance analytics techniques to create features and apply those features to improve account management strategies & programs
Understand the implications of all portfolio management actions (line increases, line decreases, upgrades, BT, etc.) on portfolio performance and work with functional leaders to maximize profitability.
Analyze/Evaluate key risk indicators and metrics, enhance risk reporting and identify new areas of analytic focus to make portfolio resilient to economic downturn.
Lead/support ad-hoc portfolio analytic projects
Maintain productive relationships with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders, including Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Execution/Implementation, on analytical projects

Required Qualifications

6+ years of risk experience
3+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
1+ year of statistical modeling experience

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
5 + years of experience with computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), Cognos or Tableau
Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques

Other Desired Qualifications
Experience in statistical and machine learning modeling/segmentation analysis
Proficient with the advanced level SAS or R or Python and SQL.
Advanced degree in computer science, operations research, statistics, Mathematics, Physics, finance, economics, engineering or similar quantitative disciplines
Experience in credit card portfolio risk management strategy development
Expertise in credit line increase/decrease, balance transfer, pricing, collection and high risk management
Proficient with data extraction/mining tools, large data management and data stratification
Excellent business sense beyond just understanding data
Strong problem solving skills and proven track record of performing complex business/risk analysis
Self-starter - ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and achieve success
Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members to accomplish business goals
