The Boeing Company is looking for a highly motivated system engineering analyst to join our team developing hardware and software solutions for proprietary programs for our client in Hemdon, VA.The successful candidate will rely on his/her security and Information Assurance (IA) background to critical customer activities. The candidate is responsible for maintaining and enforcing all Information System Security policies, standards, and directives to ensure assessment and Authorization (A&A) of information systems processing classified information.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts security analysis of operational, administrative and development environments to assess compliance with industry and government standards
  • Implements the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes for new and existing information systems
  • Facilitates development of security plans/procedures and supports Continuous Monitoring (CONMON)
  • Supports configuration management and audits of assigned systems to ensure security integrity
  • Conducts risk assessments and investigations, executes appropriate risk mitigations, and support incident response activities
  • Performs periodic hardware/software inventory assessments and the disposition of old hardware
  • Interfaces with government customers, suppliers, and team personnel to implement protective mechanisms and ensures understanding of and compliance with security requirements
  • On-call support is required as well as occasional shift and weekend work

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Typical Education/Experience:
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • This position requires a current Top Secret/SCI clearance and is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence. Please include clearance and date of recent SSBI on profile/resume to be considered.
  • Experience with security policies and implementation of system mitigations
  • Demonstrated ability to work iteratively with customers to gather and document requirements from findings.
  • Ability to work across a diverse team of software and systems engineers, technicians, and security specialists in a dynamic environment.
  • Working knowledge of the following: Win 7/10, Server 2012, MS Office, IBM Rational ClearQuest
  • Experience in assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show regulation compliance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Project management experience (PMP, CAPM, etc)
  • Windows, Linux and/or Unix operating system working/support knowledge is desired
  • Experience in assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show regulation compliance
  • Administration of Microsoft Workstations and Servers (i.e. Domain Controller, Group Policy Management, DNS and WSUS) and Linux Workstations and Servers.
  • Experience with electronic data communications, and data center operation/administration.
