Job Description
Manager, Finance – Wholesale Area
Location: Chicago, IL
The Manager is responsible for leading all Sales Finance Planning (PPM) activities and routines across two Customer Sales Team directly supporting Sales leadership. The Manager leverages a data driven analytical approach to build and optimize a P&L that delivers Net Sales and Profit growth for Kraft Heinz. Through collaboration with the Sales Customer VPs, the Manager acts as the right hand driving execution of the recommended strategies. The Manager maintains financial controls to ensure trade spending is accurately forecasted, consistent with strategy guidelines, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a key business partner for the customer field sales teams on accounting and finance related questions
Serve as a primary liaison between field sales, Business Units, and HQ Revenue Management to ensure effective communication and execution of trade strategies
Utilize analytical frameworks and ROI analysis to identify opportunities to optimize pricing/promotion; influence Sales leadership to implement recommendations
Lead the monthly Customer P&L forecasting and reporting processes, clearly articulating drivers of P&L change to Sales and Finance senior leadership
Support the annual planning process through validation of YOY drivers of demand, trade budgeting, and assist the development of initiatives to achieve targets
Develop and maintain financial controls to ensure visibility to and accuracy of the monthly trade spend forecast
Provide customer specific external analysis to identify areas of improvement
Assist Customer VPs in preparation of joint business plan investment proposals or strategic investments and subsequent customer negotiations
Analyzes non-working trade data, bringing attention to drivers of trends and partnering with support teams on solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, or Economics
MBA preferred, but not required
3-5 years of experience in finance, analytics, or accounting
Sales, Commercial strategy and/or trade promotion experience preferred
Analytical skills and ability to quickly learn analytical modeling tools and techniques
Disciplined approach toward execution, attention to detail, and ability to navigate within large and complex data environments
Ability to effectively summarize complex information and influence results
Flexibility and adaptability to prioritize and handle multiple workstreams
Strong oral and written communication skills, including reporting and presentation skills
