Richland Residential is seeking a Real Estate Accountant / Bookkeeper to oversee the accounting of its property management portfolio. The position will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping, producing periodic financial reports, managing AP and AR, managing and running payroll and ensuring proper storage and documentation of files.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and enforcing a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Review all invoices submitted by On-Site Property Managers for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Process weekly check runs to vendors
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely fashion
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and all balance sheet accounts
- Maintain clean supporting documentation for all reconciling items with follow-up and corrective action to resolve discrepancies
- Review all monthly and year-end financial reporting information
- Assist in the annual operating budget process and forecasting activities
- Process Resident refunds
- Maintain Asset Inventories
- Assist with tax preparation

- Proficient in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of real estate accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Salary
$60,000 - $70,000
