Individual will develop and maintain industrial customer base (refinery and chemical plants) in established geographical region; develop and grow new base business within refining chemical and etc. sectors; bring in new customers and maintain relationships within existing TIS accounts; and cultivate relationships at prospective TIS accounts. Individual will also implement the Tradebe’s direct sales strategy to grow and maintain customer base; achieve desired sales objectives and goals within specified time frame; effectively use information management system in order to provide daily, weekly updates to upper management; and will maintain and grow the existing customer base at the direction of the TIS Refinery Sales Manager.
The selected candidate must achieve monthly sales goals and objectives; make a minimum number of direct customer sales calls per week; will develop and execute a territorial business plan; develop and maintain territorial market information with the assistance of TIS Sales; and present Tradebe’s full service capabilities to potential customers, including Industrial Services, Disposal and Tradebe Direct Services.
Individual will also make service calls on current and new customer base; understand tank cleaning and processing service capabilities to effectively communicate to customers and prospective customers; and assist in the completion of requests for site walks, scoping out projects, samples, bids and proposals. Also required will be following-up on the status of quotations and bids in order to secure new business; participation in trade shows; assisting in the collection of account receivables, when requested; making routine phone calls to TIS Sales to discuss account activity; and completion of all required paperwork in a timely matter.
Bachelor’s degree in business or environmental or related technical discipline; the ability and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to prospect/customer sites and industry events; and eight years of experience in the refinery service industry and basic knowledge of plant operation and equipment, are required. Five years of experience in selling refining tank cleaning and processing; strong analytical and technical skills; highly motivated individual that works well in a team environment; and a demonstrated track record for sales and business development are required. Experience with tank cleaning and dewatering technologies is a must. The selected candidate must be able to travel within assigned territory making sales calls to current and prospective new customers; and overnight travel (25 to 50% of the time) is required. Individual must have proven relationship development skills. Experience within environmental services and/or refining industry is preferred.
The selected candidate must have or must obtain a TWIC card upon being hired. Individual must also be an effective, persuasive speaker, and writer that can present Tradebe services to gain customer growth; must have strong communication (verbal/writing); must have excellent people skills; and must have excellent presentation skills. Experience with proposal writing is a must, and experience with the following software: Microsoft office Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point is required. The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check, are required.
