The Baylor College of Medicine Immune Evaluation Laboratory in Houston, Texas is interested in identifying a candidate who has recently completed HLA Director In Training and currently is searching for an Assistant or Associate HLA Lab Director position. The BCM - Immune Evaluation Laboratory serves as a reference transplant histocompatibility testing lab in the Texas Medical Center for adult renal, heart and lung patients at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center, Texas Heart Institute and the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, as well as pediatric renal, heart and lung patients referred for testing from Texas Children's Hospital. The lab is accredited by The College of American Pathologists (CAP) and The United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). We have a high testing volume given our clinical practice across multiple solid organ programs and provide on call immune assessment support.
Interested individuals must have an M.D. or a Ph.D. in immunology, molecular biology, genetics, pathology or in a related biological science from an accredited University. Individuals interested in the Assistant HLA Lab Director position must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Associate HLA Lab Director must be ABHI certified and experience directing an HLA laboratory.
