Manages the Procure to Pay cycle from PO creation to invoice posting and reconciliation of Luxottica of America and Canada indirect purchases and sub-ledgers, to ensure the financial statements are in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies. Strategically partners with key process owners to improve the procure to pay cycle to drive efficiency and enhance controls. Supervises 7. Trains and develops associates for broader responsibilities within the organization.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage NA indirect P2P cycle including applicable systems, third party processors and internal controls for retail, wholesale, e-comm, and manufacturing business units.
Independently identify innovative ways to improve efficiency of department functions and reduce operating expenses. Implement approved plans.
Monitor timely response to inquiries and vendor relationships.
Ownership of documentation tools, including training and enforcement of use by organization.
Lead value added process and system enhancement initiatives to create efficiencies and consistencies, including working with global partners to align to core model.
Lead monthly closing activities including the timely recording of accruals for goods/services received where invoices have not been processed in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
Ensure completion and accuracy of vendor statement reconciliations including proper and timely resolution of open items.
Independently prepare meaningful and actionable analyses.
Review and ensure accuracy of all G/L account reconciliations within required control deadlines.
Monitor department key performance indicators (KPI) evaluating results and identifying opportunities.
Anticipate, recognize, act and communicate financial exposures and opportunities.
Provide reliable and sound accounting guidance to team and business.
Provide excellent customer service and partner with primary customers including the buying groups, brands, IT, vendors, warehouses, and labs, as well as other groups as needed.
Assume additional responsibilities and assist with special projects as needed or directed.
Accounting management experience.
Working knowledge and application of accounting concepts and principles in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
Results oriented with a global perspective.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with individuals of varying skill levels across functional lines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other system applications in order to train staff with new functionalities.
Ability to challenge the process and develop, without direction, new approaches, processes, solutions.
Ability to analyze problems, compile data, determine facts and make sound business decisions.
Ability to adapt to shifting competing priorities.
Effectively manages work of team by setting clear expectations, delegating tasks, and following up to ensure completion.
Bachelor’s Degree required
7-10 years of comparable experience
CPA or MBA
