Gather quotes and conduct analysis of transportation and logistics plans to support project defined schedules.
Complete customs documentation forms with designated carriers, brokers and forwarders
Provide information regarding industry requirements to assist with negotiations and transportation contracts
Communicate status of deliveries, shipments, to production facilities.
Monitor cost and performance improvements by analyzing cost drivers, processes and specifications for improvement opportunities
Creation of Commercial Invoices / Packing List
Creation of requisitions within the ERP system
Ability to read and understand scopes of work and MSA contracts
Other responsibilities as assigned
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience (3-5 years) required
2+ years’ experience in transportation planning/project cargo preferred
knowledge of import/export regulations for different countries and compliances
Experience working with cost models and/or performing cost analysis
Knowledge of JDE or SAP strongly preferred
Strong process focus and data analysis
Demonstrated understanding of international and domestic transportation documentation requirements
Excellent oral, written, organization, and interpersonal l skills; strong attention to detail
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in MS office applications (i.e.:Word, Excel, Power Point)
Demonstrated ability/experience working in constantly changing environment
Fluency in Spanish or German a plus
Travel Requirements > 5%
Seeing/Comprehension: Must be able to read documents, reports, and computer screens and/or examine or inspect material or data.
Hearing: Must be able to communicate with customers and coworkers.
Hand/Finger Dexterity: Manipulating objects, equipment and/or using keyboard.
