The Front Desk Specialist for Wound Healing performs a wide range of administrative support functions to facilitate of the daily operations of the Wound Center to include: reception, patient scheduling, registration, referral coordination, insurance verification, processing billing information, charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation/balancing, etc. The Specialist operates as the initial contact for patients and guests of the Center serving as the primary information resource for referrals and insurance plan guidelines. The incumbent provides exceptional customer service, and presents a professional appearance and manner at all times to positively represent the department.
Two (2) years previous clerical experience
One (1) year of experience working with insurance company, referrals or patient access matters
Experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding, preferred
Vocational training in medical front office desired
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
