This announcement is an extension of the initial posting to reflect that this vacancy is being posted at the Clinical Program Therapist 1, Clinical Program Therapist 2, and Clinical Program Therapist 3 levels. Two (2) vacancies will be filled, and the level at which the positions will be filled will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications.

Job Duties Include:
Provide professional independent counseling and case management for clients in alcohol and drug treatment. The employee typically works with clients with co-existing mood and thought disorders as well as other mental health issues. The CD Counselor also assists the supervisor in the management of the treatment program.
Assess client biopsychosocial needs and develop an individualized treatment plan to address all issues identified.
Provide substance abuse counseling/treatment to individuals with substance abuse/dependence problems and/or co-occurring mood, thought or other mental health disorders.
Develop, prepare, and provide didactic and interactive education to assist clients, their families, and concerned persons in understanding the disease of addiction and other co-occurring mood, thought or personality disorders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:To qualify, applicants must:
Clinical Program Therapist 1:
Have a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; AND
Be licensed by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Clinical Program Therapist 2:
Have a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; AND
Be licensed by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor; AND
Have one (1) year of post-Bachelor's degree experience providing behavioral health services.
OR

Have a Master Degree in psychology, social work, or related behavioral or social science program; AND
Be licensed by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Clinical Program Therapist 3:
Have a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; AND
Be licensed by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor; AND
Have three (3) years of post-Bachelor's degree experience providing behavioral clinical services.
OR

Have a Master Degree in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related behavioral or social science program; AND
Be licensed by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor; AND
Have one (1) year of post-Master's degree experience providing clinical services including individual and group therapy and interventions.
OR

Have a Doctorate degree (PhD, PsyD or DSW); AND
Be licensed by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Per MN Statutes, all applicants must also:
Be at least 18 years old, AND
Be able to pass a criminal background check, AND
Sign a statement attesting that you have been free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding hire.
