Part time position of 3-4 days/week to assist by providing administrative support for Williams syndrome related research activities. Job primarily relates to the ongoing development and maintenance of the online Williams Syndrome Registry. Job focuses on collecting and curating of medical records, assisting Williams syndrome families with Registry access and functionality, and preparing data for analysis.
Assist in writing research proposals
Assist with writing documentation and maintaining compliance with IRB regulations.
Maintain database, trouble shoot, collect/organize patient data, and perform data cleaning as needed.
Assist with monitoring and escalating adverse events as required by Institutional/federal regulations
Resolve data discrepancies as requested by Sponsors.
Assist with creating materials for patients and families
Assist at patient and family support group meetings
Procuring, processing, and selected abstraction of medical records. Activities will include:
Working with families and medical record offices to obtained records released by a study participant
Scanning, redacting, tagging, and organizing received records
Coding/data entry for basic and complex data
Using software programs, such as Excel and StudyTrax, to generate graphs and reports
Interacting with the Registry members via phone, email, or in-person to field questions, and provide a basic explanation of the study and assist with the consent process
Obtaining patient’s study data from medical records, physicians, etc.
Assist with developing and updating study forms
Communicating with researchers regarding their studies run through the Registry
Independently troubleshoots general Registry issues
Conducting library searches
Other administrative support for implementing research projects, as needed
Bachelor’s degree required
Excellent organization skills
Careful attention to detail
Ability to follow directions (but also knows when to ask questions)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to communicate with families and medical team members
Comfort assisting with IRB document creation and generation of any summaries/enrollment reports required
Familiarity with Insight preferred
Computer proficiency (familiarity with Excel preferred)
