Nature of Work
Full performance clerical support jobs that do not require typing. Multiple-step clerical tasks calling for interpretation and application of office procedures, rules and regulations. Tasks may include posting information to logs or ledgers, and checking for completeness, and calculating benefits. Most positions require no typing or a minimal amount of typing, such as labels, or simple forms.

This job (OA 2, non-typing) requires a written examination (W). The same examination is used for: Office Assistant 1, 2 , 3 (non-typing and typing), Secretary 1, 2 , Administrative Secretary, and Lottery Business Support Technician 1, 2. YOU MUST APPLY FOR EACH TITLE SEPARATELY. YOU MUST APPLY PRIOR TO TESTING. You only need to take the test once to be scored for the titles for which you have applied.

Do not take a copy of the online application to the test center. DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU CAN TEST WITHIN 90 DAYS. Online applicants who do not test within 90 days of application will be rejected.

Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
