Do you have a passion for cleaning, building upkeep, and customer service? If so, bring your unique talents to our team at Boulevard Apartments as a full-time Caretaker. In this role, you can use these strengths to clean common / public areas and assist our maintenance service team members in more involved projects. Above all, live out your spirit to serve on a daily basis by maintaining positive relationships with peers, residents, and all whom you support in this role.

Where will this role work?

Boulevard Apartments is a large, 235-unit residential apartment housing complex in Milwaukee, WI.

Schedule & Hours:
The core schedule for this role will be Monday-Friday; 8 AM - 4:30 PM.

Maintains exterior grounds and interior common areas in quality, presentable condition. This will include but is not limited to the following:
Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines; as applicable.
Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds.
Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
May also sweep walks, rake leaves, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.

Required Experience:
1-3 years of experience in custodial or janitorial work. Ideally in residential or commercial real estate.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; Ability to communicate effectively with community tenants, vendors / external parties, and across corporate divisions.

Work/Office hours may vary due to the specific needs of the portfolio.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
