WHAT OUR HELP DESK SPECIALIST DOES:
Solve and close help desk tickets with limited supervision while maintaining strong communication with the IT team and with other Mission Bell employees
Gather the customer’s information and to determine the customer’s issue by analyzing the symptoms and figuring out the underlying problem.
Employs troubleshooting methods such as verifying physical layer issues, resolving username and password problems, uninstalling/reinstalling basic software applications, verification of proper hardware and software set up, and assistance with navigating around application menus, using documented processes and workarounds.
Configure new workstations, devices, or other hardware for use in the office, shop, and field
Train and assist users in the office in Windows, MS Office, and other basic programs

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED:
2 to 3 years of similar experience in a help desk or tech-related position
High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Programming or business-related field preferred but not required Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as on a team
Eagerness to learn new IT skills and research current technologies
Experience with Windows 7 and 10 as well as MS Office; knowledge of Windows Server OS, VMware, or networking is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
