Medical Scribe Trainer -- Next to UT Austin Campus
T HE POSITION: Want to differentiate yourself on your AMCAS or PA School application from other scribes? Become a Medical Scribe Trainer . This position will allow you to grow your skills of leadership, communication with tact, and working with others. The Medical Scribe Trainer will be responsible for delivering clear, thorough, and consistent training to each trainee. The Medical Scribe Trainer will guide groups of trainees through an introduction medical documentation in SOAP format, to a mastery of the material in order to complete clinical notes independently. The Medical Scribe Trainer will report to the General Manager.

LOCATION : 4 blocks west of the University of Texas Austin campus. 5k sq. feet, alongside other smart future caregivers.
Guide new scribes through e-learning training
Conduct scribe training workshops and one-on-one scribe training by following scribe training outlines
Support trainees and their achievement of each training objective
Monitor trainees’ training progress and provide regular status updates to General Manager
Develop, improve, and innovate scribe training materials to help reduce the learning curve for new medical scribes
Learn the nuances of our technology so you can explain them to trainees
Assist General Manager with recruitment and interviewing of medical scribes
Assist HR and General Manager with the collection of trainee paperwork
Our Austin, TX hub is located four blocks west of UT-Austin Campus
Medical Scribe Trainers are eligible for parking passes after 3 months of employment.
Monthly Career Services Seminars from current Physicians, Residence, and Medical Students.
Undergo training to become an expert in clinical documentation and in common diagnoses within a variety of specialties and/or subspecialties
Teach, lead, and shape new medical scribes

Minimum 36-40 hours per week for full-time work
Minimum of 6 months previous scribe experience
Quick learner who is willing to go the extra mile and think outside the box
Comfortable with novel computer programs
Able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Comfortable speaking in public
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Can commute to our office in Austin, TX
Fast, accurate typist ( >60 WPM)
1-year of previous scribe experience
Experiencing working in Orthopedics
Experience working with electronic medical record systems
Teaching or coaching experience
Sitting for long periods of time
Regular typing and data entry into a computer
