Role and Responsibilities of Business Development Manager:
The role of Account Executive directly impacts the local and national success of the Because I Said I Would campaign. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for securing contracts to accompany existing tour commitments; such commitments include speaking engagements and/or workshops.
Additional responsibilities of Business Development Manager:
Research events that require an inspirational keynote speaker
Cultivate strong relationships with speaker bureaus (talent agencies)
Develop additional strategies to promote and book speaking engagements
Negotiate speaking engagement contracts
Write detailed (and sometimes unique) contracts for speaking engagements
Manage all speaking opportunities and contacts through Salesforce (CRM)
Collaborate with peers to create efficiencies within the sales and marketing process
Represents the organization in a manner that aligns with the organization’s core values (https://becauseisaidiwould.org/honor)
1+ years of B2B sales or equivalent combination of education plus sale experience.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University preferred.
Capable of multitasking; ability to manage dozens of business transactions at once.
Strong time management skills through extremely detailed calendaring.
Ability to effectively communicate benefits to potential clients. Persuasive and honest.
Highly motivated to hit revenue targets.
What is Offered:
First year compensation between $35,000 and $55,000
