TITLE: Lead Credit Bureau Data Analyst
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Lead Credit Bureau Data Analyst in Riverwoods, IL to perform statistical analysis on financial data to analyze customer information and communicate between internal teams to champion projects and improve data quality. Monitor and analyze credit dispute activity for trends and process improvements. Utilize programming languages SAS, SQL, Python, R, VBA and visualization tools Teradata, Tableau and MS Office to develop reports, and present analysis of quality of data to management and external vendors. Proactively identify trends or developments that may impact business plans and performance and report findings to management. Provide innovative and new ideas to enhance Credit Bureau Reporting control strategies to make sure Discover Financial Services consumers are reported accurately to Credit Reporting Agencies. Communicate analytical results to business partners and aid in developing new and maintaining existing Credit Bureau Reporting controls. Coordinate regulatory audit and compliance action items and responses. Act as a liaison with business partners in intra-departmental projects and present findings to senior management and business partners. Maintain a high level of understanding of competency in statistical and analytical principles and understanding of the analytical data sources available for risk modelling. Provide technical support for existing reports including tableau dashboards. Promote a risk -aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematical Finance, Management Information Systems or related, four (4) years of experience in job offered or related position: conducting statistical analysis on financial data; developing reports to share findings with business partners, utilizing technologies including SAS, Unix, SQL, Teradata, and MS Office.
